Our Story

Tyagaraja Guru Shishya Parampara

Over the past decade, HTAMF has evolved into one of the most sought-after music festivals to commemorate saint Tyagaraja.

This festival is mentored, guided and supported by Nadasudharnava Padmasree Awardee Dr. Annavarapu Ramaswamy, and Dr.D.V.K Vasudevan (Violin Vasu https://violinvasu.com/), both belonging to the Tyagaraja Guru Shishya Parampara (lineage of Sadguru Tyagaraja’s disciples

Volunteer Run Event

HTAMF is organized and run completely by a group of volunteers who share a passion for promoting Indian culture, arts and tradition across India and abroad. 

The volunteers dedicate themselves to organize this event to international standards

Hyderabad Based Non-Profit Organization

HTAMF was started in 2016 by Sanskriti Foundation, a 16-year-old, Hyderabad-based non-profit organization. It is founded by people who share passion for promoting Indian culture, arts and tradition across India and abroad.

The foundation spearheads several initiatives (HTAMF) and programs – Sabarmathi Sangeeth, Vrindavan, Art Attack, Sahana, Vidyashram, Cultural Retreat, and teaching and promoting & teaching South Indian Classical Music & Dance (Gurukulam https://gurukulamacademy.in/)

Recently, Hyderabad Tygaraja Aradhana Trust has also been established as part of Sanskriti Foundation

10 years – a decade of bringing Saint Tyagaraja’s music and philosophy to music connoisseurs and cultural vibrancy of Hyderabad. Inspired by the renowned Tyagaraja Aradhana in Tiruvayyaru, Tamil Nadu, HTAMF has quickly gained popularity across the globe.

Festival Highlights

The Hyderabad Tyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival (HTAMF) is a music festival to commemorate saint Tyagaraja, his contributions to music and to bring his great music & philosophy to share with the current & future generations.

The festival is a 5 day, 7 event festival. It kicks off with inauguration and hosts melodious concerts on all evenings. Day 4 morning hosts student-teacher community concerts. Day 5 morning is the main event of the festival, with Nagara Sankirtana, Guru Sanmanam, Pancharatna Seva, Abhishekam for Utsava Murthy of Sitaramalakshman hanuman Tyagaraja Abhshekam performed and famous artiste Kuchi Garu renders his live painting for the music.

Evening Concerts

Day 1 to 5 – The festival is a five day, 7 event festival. It kicks off with inauguration and hosts melodious concerts on all evenings. 15+ evening concerts are planned for this festival.

Guru Sanmanam

Day 5 – Sanskriti Foundation recognizes  and felicitates renowned musician for service and dedication to the field of Carnatic music.

Pancharatna Seva

Day 5 – More than 400+ artists from the twin cities participate in person to deliver a reverberating rendition of Tyagaraja sadhguru’s 5 ghana raga kritis.

Students Performance

Day 4 – student-teacher community concerts are organized to provide promising students with a platform to perform and showcase their talent.

Abhishekam

Day 5- While the musical renditions are in progress,  Abhishekam for Utsava Murthy of Sitaramalakshman hanuman Tyagaraja Abhshekam performed

Nagara Sankeerthana

Day 5 – Early in the morning, the traditional procession of Unchavruti with Nagara Sankirtana is performed by students and patrons.
